Air conditioning repair, southeast Melbourne
Split system not cooling, leaking, tripping the power or making noises it shouldn't? We diagnose properly, quote before we fix, and tell you straight if repairing isn't worth it.
The faults we see most
- Not cooling or heating properly — often airflow or refrigerant related; occasionally just a very dirty system
- Water dripping inside — usually a blocked condensate drain
- Tripping the switchboard — an electrical fault that needs a licensed electrician, which is exactly what we are
- Rattles, grinding or squealing — from loose panels to failing fan motors
- Musty smells— mould on the indoor coil; a deep clean fixes what a filter rinse can’t
Repairs by a licensed electrical team
Plenty of aircon faults are electrical at heart. We repair under True Line Electrical’s contractor registration (REC 38009), so a tripping circuit or switchboard issue gets fixed properly — not patched around. Regular servicing prevents most of these callouts; here’s what a proper service covers.
If it’s beyond repair
We’ll never talk you into replacing a fixable system — or into fixing a dying one. When replacement is the honest answer, the old unit’s removal and the new install are priced up front, with published installed prices and a fixed written quote before work begins. We repair across the whole southeast — from Moorabbin and Highett to Mordialloc.
Common questions
Will you quote before repairing?
Always. We diagnose the fault, explain it in plain English and give you the repair price before any work happens. Care plan members get 10% off repairs.
Is it worth repairing an old system?
Sometimes no — and we'll say so. If a repair costs a meaningful chunk of a properly-sized new install, you'll get a written repair-or-replace comparison so you can decide with real numbers, not pressure.
How fast can you get to me?
same-week service as standard across southeast Melbourne, and next-day priority for care plan members — which matters most when everything fails in the same February week.
