Air conditioning replacement, southeast Melbourne

When the old system has done its dash, we decommission it, remove it, and install a properly sized replacement — with the whole price fixed in writing before we start.

Signs it’s time

Torn between fixing and replacing? Our repair team gives you a straight repair-or-replace comparison — we’re happy doing either job, so the advice isn’t loaded.

What a replacement costs

The new system is priced exactly like any install — published, from $2,399 fully installed (see the full price list), plus the old unit’s removal quoted up front. Every replacement includes a COES, our 5-year workmanship warranty, and a year of scheduled care with Trueline Care and Premium packages.

Often cheaper to run within the first summer

Modern inverter systems move more heat per kilowatt than units from a decade ago — here’s what running costs look like now. Combined with correct sizing (the guide explains why bigger isn’t better), most replacements pay part of their way in the power they stop wasting. We replace systems across Sandringham, Hampton East, McKinnon and all of southeast Melbourne.

Common questions

Do you take away the old unit?

Yes — decommissioning and removal of your existing system is one of only four possible extras in our published pricing, quoted up front at the free measure, never sprung on the day.

Should I replace with the same size?

Not automatically. Older systems were often sized by guesswork, and homes change — insulation, extensions, new windows. We measure and size the replacement for the room as it is now; the calculator gives you a starting point in 30 seconds.

When is replacement smarter than repair?

As a rule of thumb: when a repair costs a meaningful fraction of a new install on a system past its expected life, or when refrigerant type and parts availability make ongoing repairs uneconomical. We put the comparison in writing so you decide with numbers.
